Outplacement & Career Transition Services
Outside of severance pay, JDResources’ Outplacement Service is the greatest benefit companies can offer their displaced workers. Literally, outplacement means "placed out of the organization." We come in as employment experts to work with the displaced employees to help them prepare for the new opportunities available to them. Less than 25% of all job openings are advertised. Without a qualified search professional, or an extensive network of contacts, many openings will never be made public or accessed without representation. We have the ability to seek out positions that candidates might not access through other conventional job hunting methods.
Our focus is to provide one-on-one consultation, resume development and interview preparation with workers. This individual attention provides maximum exposure and helps outplaced employees prepare and find new employment. With our long-term successful history of placing professionals in a constant flow of job opportunities and consulting assignments, we are in the best position to situate your displaced personnel with new career opportunities and income flow.
A company’s reputation can easily be tarnished; the value of being viewed as a good place to work is important, as is the image presented to shareholders, customers, and vendors. Providing outplacement demonstrates to the community that the company values its human capital and helps to promote an image that your company is a good corporate citizen. We explain to the displaced employee that, in difficult times of budget cuts, many companies face complicated financial decisions that result in reorganizations or staff reductions. We stress that this does not mean an outplaced employee is not performing well. Utilizing outplacement services minimizes the disruption in business, squelches negative energy and provides reassurance to the remaining staff. This can help decrease turnover among remaining employees.
